Grant Mussman – State Farm Agency

Grant Mussman

Located at 606 S 72nd Street (6 blocks South of Dodge) are the offices of State Farm Insurance agent, Grant Mussman. A second-generation State Farm agent, Grant is the epitome of a “Good Neighbor”, providing insurance coverage to 2,000+ families in the Omaha/Council Bluffs metropolitan area.

Grant’s telephone is very active. In a one-hour interview, his phone rings no fewer than 6 times and a client “drops in” to his office to submit an auto accident claim. He gathers their accident details. “We’ll get it taken care of! That’s why you have insurance!” Grant assures his client. An agent for 8 years, Grant clearly knows his products and interacts with his clients in a professional, down-to-earth, neighborly way.

A husband and father of two young boys, Grant is a serious Creighton Blue Jay and Nebraska Cornhusker sports enthusiast and alumnus. He’s also a huge social media and talk radio advocate. Always exploring new ways to use technology to engage the Omaha community, he participates in or conducts Facebook “live” events, podcasts, and talk radio programs.

Helping others is in Grant’s DNA. He attributes his “Good Neighbor” behaviors to lessons learned from his parents. At an early age, he watched his father, Gaylord (still as active State Farm agent in Fremont, Nebraska) tirelessly serving others in the community. And as active members of their church, Grant recalls at age 4 or 5, he accompanied his mother on visits to “shut-ins”, singing at nursing homes, and delivering Meals on Wheels. Participation in The Boy Scouts of America, provided additional service learning opportunities for Grant.  An Eagle Scout, his community service and philanthropy are now widely recognized across Omaha. Grant is active in the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, Center Sphere, the Kiwanis Club of Omaha, the Omaha Venture Group, Omaha Community Playhouse, Voter Information Project, and Swanson Elementary Community Club (PTA) to name a few. Grant also supports many community non-profits. He especially likes the Abide Network’s work to transform Omaha’s neighborhoods and their unique partnership with Creighton athletics and Omaha’s faith communities to make the city “Better Together.”

If you are in the market for home, auto or property insurance, please have a discussion with my friend and community partner, Grant Mussman. You may contact him by phone: (402) 932-0100, or by email: grant@sfomaha.com. He’ll take care of you.  Happy Motoring!
